RYAN Crush was the goal hero as Halstead Town won 1-0 at Stowmarket, in this afternoon's Ridgeons League division one encounter.
It was a morale-boosting result for Jim Holder’s side, having been thumped 6-0 by Whitton United last Saturday.
And it was a particularly pleasing for Crush, who bounced back after missing a penalty in that game.
“It was a very good performance and the boys thoroughly deserved it,” said Holder.
“They played well and it was an excellent response, after what happened last weekend.
“As for Ryan, he took his goal really well, slotting the ball past the keeper after being played through.
“His all-round game was impressive.
“He held the ball up and had another couple of chances.”
