A STALKER is set to be jailed next month after he breached a suspended sentence by twice failing to charge a GPS monitoring tag.
Chris Allen, 70, was sentenced in August after he targeted his victim in Halstead over a six-month period last year.
During that time, Allen, who is a father of three, approached his victim’s colleagues to extract information about her and kept a diary which recorded where he met various women.
He was sentenced to an 18-month jail term suspended for two years and was subject to GPS trail monitoring for six months.
Allen, of Eight Ash Green, admitted breaching his court conditions in September when he failed to charge his monitoring tag.
He was warned by Judge Chris Morgan but then let the battery run out on the tag for a second time last month.
Chelmsford Crown Court heard on Thursday how Allen committed a further offence by turning up at a victim’s place of work in Ipswich.
Allen admitted the breach and the commission of a further offence and appeared for sentencing before Judge Morgan via video link from HMP Chelmsford, but was not sentenced because he did not have legal representation.
He will remain in custody and is expected to be sentenced on Thursday, December 12.
