HALSTEAD residents that use O2 UK broadband could be without phone signal until 8pm tonight, due to 'improvement works' being carried out in the area.
National phone network company, O2 UK contacted customers that live in Halstead this morning, letting them know that works to improve broadband connection in the area will be carried out today.
The announcement came at around 6am this morning (5 November).
Some residents have already experienced loss of phone signal, with locals sharing the company update via social media.
In a post, a resident said 'I woke up to my phone not having any signal so if anyone else hasn’t got any either this will be why.'
In their announcement, a spokesperson for O2 UK said: "We're carrying out some upgrade work to help improve our network."
"Sorry, but while we do this, you might have some trouble with your calls, texts and data.
!We're working as fast as we can to get things sorted."
The works are expected to be complete by 8pm tonight.
