THE Danaher Animal Home has raised an incredible £6,000 after a successful opening day.

Located in Wethersfield, Danaher is a self-funding charity that works closely with the RSPCA to rehome hundreds of lost, abandoned or ill-treated dogs, cats, and small animals.

More than 600 visitors attended its opening day event.

It offered visitors Danaher's ‘ever-popular’ dog shows, with many categories including Junior Handler, Golden Oldies and Best Rescue.

As well as dog shows, the event featured a wide variety of stalls, a chance to meet Alpacas and a barbecue.

Danaher social media and community engagement officer, Ryan Lynch said: “Without the generosity and continued support from the community, Danaher Animal Home wouldn’t be able to operate as it does.

“The turnout was truly incredible, with so many smiling faces and animals, both past and present residents, joining in the fun.”

The open day raised a whopping £6000, with these funds going directly towards helping ‘countless animals in need’.

“While our Open Days are all about fun, they also serve a vital purpose – raising funds for Danaher Animal Home.

“Thanks to your attendance, unwavering support, and generous donations, we managed to raise an astounding £6000.

“These funds will go ensure our animals receive the care and love they deserve, and allowing us to continue fulfilling our mission: Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome. Educate.

"The incredible dedication of the staff and volunteers, combined with the joy of seeing so many happy animals, made it a truly heart-warming experience.

"The community’s support and enthusiasm to raise money for Danaher Animal Home was inspiring, and a reminder of just how important Danaher’s mission is to giving these wonderful animals a second chance.”
