A HISTORIC castle is hosting numerous events to keep families and youngsters entertained during the summer holidays.
Hedingham Castle, off Bayley Street, Castle Hedingham, has announced all its events through the summer holiday period until the end of August.
There are plenty of events to enjoy, with activities for all the family.
On July 30, you can enjoy a creative workshop which is aimed at eight to 14-year-olds, which is led by published Colchester-based author, Lisa Wakely.
One day later, on July 31, anyone aged six-years-old or older can fulfil a dream by becoming a medieval knight at the knight school workshop.
The outdoor cinema show, Adventure Cinema, will return to Hedingham Castle in August and will offer up three different films.
Crowds will be able to enjoy a sing-along when watching the musical, The Greatest Showman, on August 13.
For thrill-seekers, you can enjoy Hollywood star Tom Cruise’s 1980s film Top Gun on August 14.
Audiences aged 15 or older will be able to watch the 1990 comedy romance classic, Pretty Woman, on August 15.
Tickets cost £16.98 per person, per film.
There will also be storytelling experiences on August 13 to 15 for all ages.
The castle will be celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week on August 16 and has teamed up with the English Cream Tea Company to offer up some tasty treats between 2pm to 4pm.
Car lovers will be able to enjoy a classic vehicles exhibition on August 18.
Finally, there’s going to be a big August bank holiday event when The Knights of Albion return to Hedingham Castle for the final joust of the season.
