A HISTORIC Norman keep will offer a special event where you can treat your dad for Father’s Day.
Hedingham Castle will be offering an afternoon tea experience on June 16 between 11am and 4pm.
The 900-year-old castle has teamed up with The English Cream Tea Company for the event.
There will be a fresh gentleman’s afternoon tea, a classic afternoon tea or a cream tea available to pick from.
Alongside admission, where you can explore the historic keep and its grounds, you will be able to add on the addition of afternoon tea for two at an additional price.
The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea costs £61.50 and includes savoury cheese scones, mature cheddar wedges, finger sandwiches, and chocolate brownies.
Another option is the Classic Afternoon Tea, where visitors will enjoy finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, and cakes, for £61.50.
Alternatively, the cream tea for one or two is available for £10 per person, where you can enjoy generously sized fruit zones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
Hedingham Castle marketing manager Steffi Dry said: “We are delighted to have partnered with local company, The English Cream Tea Co, to offer visitors a delicious upgrade to their general admission tickets on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16.
“Jane and the team at The English Cream Tea Co hand bake everything in their Secret Sconery, based near Great Dunmow.
"They are offering visitors to Hedingham Castle the option to add Gentleman's Afternoon Tea for 2, Classic Afternoon Tea for two or cream teas to their castle and garden entry tickets.
“Guests can enjoy a walk around the gardens, explore the 900-year-old Norman castle, then collect their afternoon teas from the tearoom in the castle.
“Seating is available inside or out on the castle lawns on picnic benches.
“It’s a lovely day out for those looking to celebrate Father's Day in a magical outdoor setting.”
