The opening date for a new McDonald's in a town near Halstead has been confirmed.
Plans for the fast-food chain to open a new branch in Haverhill, Suffolk, were given the go-ahead in July last year.
McDonald's has now confirmed its new restaurant is set to open in late June.
A spokesman said a provisional date has been set for Wednesday, June 26.
It will follow the unveiling of the restaurant at Martlesham Heath Retail Park, near Ipswich, a week earlier on June 19.
The Haverhill restaurant will be a drive-thru and be able to seat 118 guests.
Speaking after the plans were given the green light, Aaron Luccarini, who represents Haverhill Central on West Suffolk Council, said: "If you ask Haverhill residents which shops they’d like to see in Haverhill, you will often get a list that contains McDonald's, so it’s no surprise that this application attracted thousands of combined likes and positive comments across local Facebook groups.
"The restaurant chain has tried multiple times to open in Haverhill, and this time I feel they’ve found the right site."
