A care home has supported a vital emergency charity which helps saves lives.
Cedars Place care home, in Sudbury Road, Halstead, has been thanked by the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) for hosting a ‘Brew for the Crew’ event for the charity.
The care home held the event for residents, families, community members and the charity by providing tea and cakes whilst raising donations.
Cedars Place manager Kylie Greatorex said: “We were delighted to host a coffee morning for the team at Essex and Herts Air Ambulance service.
"Our residents really enjoyed hearing about the vital work that the air ambulance service do, and donate funds raised at the event to the team in person.
"The morning raised just over £50 and the home is continuing to fundraise for the service through events and donations.
"We hope we can welcome the team back to the home in the future and continue this fantastic friendship between the air ambulance service and residents at Cedars Place.”
EHAAT, which is based in Earls Colne, started the ‘Brew for the Crew’ initiative to help raise extra funding for the charity.
Fundraising coordinator Clair Mitchell said: "Thank you so much to the staff at Cedars Place for holding this Brew for the Crew in aid of EHAAT.
“Every cuppa brewed, and every pound raised plays a crucial role in enabling us to deliver our life-saving mission.”
