A HALSTEAD church will be hosting a music event this weekend as it continues to raise money for its own funds.
Holy Trinity Church is staging an ongoing campaign to maintain its landmark spire.
More than £4,000 has currently been raised, with the builders having removed saplings and renovated part of the spire already.
Now, the Bocking Concert Brass Band is performing to raise more funds.
The event is on this Sunday, April 21, with doors opening at 2.30pm for 3pm.
Tickets are £5 and available on the door.
There will be homemade cakes, teas and coffee for visitors.
A spokesman said previously: "Any money made goes straight into the church funds.
"We are looking at ways to install a flushable toilet inside the church rather than the Portaloo which we have at present.
"We haven’t given up on getting heat into the church so still are looking at ideas for that as well."
