A JUMBLE sale is being held this weekend as part of an ongoing campaign to maintain a historic church spire.
The Friends of Holy Trinity Church have so far raised funds in excess of £4,000 to maintain the spire and keep it in good condition.
The builders have removed saplings and renovated part of the spire already.
Now, the group is set to hold a jumble sale to continue raising funds.
The event is on Saturday, March 23, from 10am to 12noon.
Previous events have included an arts and crafts sale and concert.
A spokesman said: "Any money made goes straight into the church funds.
"We are looking at ways to install a flushable toilet inside the church rather than the Portaloo which we have at present.
"We haven’t given up on getting heat into the church so still are looking at ideas for that as well."
