A PRESCHOOL has received a donation from a house builder to help refurbish its garden.
Troy Homes donated £1,000 to Steeple Bumpstead Preschool, in Finchingfield Road.
The developer said it wanted to donate to the school as a way of giving back and helping boost a sense of community in the village.
The preschool has been operating since 1988 and provides support to children aged two and above, helping them socialise, play and make new friends.
Some pupils got to visit the company's Reeds Place development earlier in the year.
A preschool spokesman said: “It was very exciting for the children to tour the show home and meet the team.
“Troy Homes’ donation will go towards refurbing our garden area, which is very much in need of some tender loving care.”
Karen Roake, sales and marketing director at Troy Homes, said: “Our team was delighted to show the preschool’s staff and students around our Reeds Place show home.
“We take enormous pride in becoming a part of communities across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, north London, and Essex.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in these areas.”
