A school will celebrate its 95th anniversary with a special event this summer.
Gosfield School, near Halstead, will stage a grand summer fete on June 15 to celebrate the landmark anniversary.
On the day, former students and staff will be at the event, which will feature a display of the school’s archives and history.
The fete will host a variety of local food and drink stalls, charities, Scout groups, societies, a dog show sponsored by Catley Cross Vets, and more.
There will be food stalls, a bar, barbecue, tea and cakes.
A local ceilidh band will be playing throughout the event and performances will take place in the school’s arena such as morris dancing, dance and music by local clubs and from Gosfield School students.
Attendees will be able to partake in a tug of war, archery and there will be inflatables, raffles, books and clothing.
There will also be a fire engine and classic vehicle display.
Gosfield School was established in 1929 by J W Turner.
