A HOUSEBUILDER has officially unveiled a Halstead site.
Bellway Homes has launched the ten-acre Oakfields Park site which will be home to 80 properties.
Its showrooms and the first batch of homes are now available.
Almost 220 homes would be built at Willow Park, off Winston Way, and the rest are at Oakfields Park.
The Oakfields Park development is located off Tidings Hill and 52 of the properties are for private sale and 28 of them are available for local residents through rent or shared ownership schemes.
At its opening, visitors were invited to look around the site’s two showrooms, including a three-bedroom property with a sensory room for to children with autism and other special needs.
Jenny Walker, sales director for Bellway Essex, said: “Our launch was a great success with visitors joining us on the day and taking the opportunity to be among the first to look around our fantastic show homes.
“Bellway is well established on the housing market locally as this is our third development in Halstead following Portway Place off Colchester Road, and Willow Park off Winston Way."
As part of Bellway’s investments locally, £378,000 is being spent in primary education and £35,000 will go towards a new community building in Butler Road.
Oaksfield Park will be accessed from Tidings Hill.
Landscaped public open space and a children’s play area are also planned.
Oakfields Park will be made up of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, as well as two three-bedroom bungalows.
Prices starting at £322,995.
