AN amateur drama group is set to host a ‘funny’ and ‘musical’ pantomime at a Halstead venue this month.
The Stane Street Players, comprising of members from Halstead and Earls Colne, are performing latest pantomime Rapunzel from January 20 to 28.
Taking place at Empire Theatre, in Butler Road, the show is packed with music and laughter.
A spokesman for Stane Street Players said: “It features our heroine, a very feisty and independent Rapunzel, the wicked witch Gothel, and her companion Waylon, the reluctant hero Rudi, nurse Brunnhilde and her very capable son Max.
"It will also have many comic characters, pirates, kings and queens.
“Let down your hair for a fun-filled, side-splitting adventure. Rapunzel is a roller-coaster ride from start to finish.”
The drama group is well-known for their annual pantomimes, and has been staging exciting performances at the Empire Theatre since 1998.
The group’s previous acclaimed productions include Ali Baba, Dick Whittington, and Moth Goose.
Matinee and evening performances are available for the Rapunzel throughout the string of dates.
Tickets cost £11 and can be purchased at tinyurl.com/4fzhr3p4.
