SEVERAL tribute acts dedicated to celebrating the music of some of the most acclaimed and successful artists around are heading to a Halstead venue.
The 300-seat Empire Theatre, in Butler Road, will showcase four tribute acts over the coming months, from 90s pop all the way back to 70s glam rock.
On February 3, Roxy Magic celebrate the music of 70s rock band Roxy Music and musician Bryan Ferry.
Formed in 2004, the group play popular songs from a discography spanning more than four decades.
Tickets cost £18.50 and doors open at 7pm.
The Rod Stewart Songbook, featuring vocalist Pete McCall, comes to the Empire on March 2.
He is accompanied by a live band, and fans can enjoy a musical journey which spans 50 years.
Rod himself has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, and the evening promises many of his big hits including Maggie May, Sailing and You Wear It Well..
Tickets cost £20 and doors open at 6.30pm.
On March 24, vocalists Jon Fisher and Dan Budd will give music lovers the Gary Barlow vs Robbie Williams experience.
With Jon appearing as Gary and Dan as Robbie, the pair have an uncanny resemblance to the stars, and will perform some of their biggest Take That and solo hits.
The pair have been working together for the last eight years and have performed all over the world.
Doors for the event open at 4.30pm for a 5.30pm start.
Finally, Marc Bolan enthusiasts have something to look forward to towards the end of the year.
TRextasy, which has been dubbed the "ultimate tribute" to the songwriter and T. Rex frontman, will headline Empire Theatre on December 8.
Frontman and Marc Bolan lookalike Danielz returns to his home time for a Christmas special.
The audience will be treated to an acoustic performance followed by a full band finale.
TRextasy are the only band to have been authorised and endorsed by Marc Bolan’s catalogue management, and made their debut in 1992.
