A HALSTEAD church has thanked residents for making its Christmas concert a big success.
Holy Trinity Church, on Chapel Hill, hosted the festive event at the weekend.
The Halstead Community Choir performed alongside the Exaltation! Choir, with mulled wine, drinks and mince pies also enjoyed by guests.
The church has thanked all those who attended and made the event a success.
A spokesman said: “In Holy Trinity Church on Sunday afternoon we were richly entertained by both the Community Choir and Exaltation! Gospel Choir.
“An audience of about 70 braved the cold and listened to a variety of traditional and contemporary songs and carols.
“During the interval mulled wine and other hot beverages were served, together with the obligatory mince pies.
“It was wonderful to see the church decorated with its Christmas trees and decorations, with the music and songs adding to the festive feeling.
“A big thanks to both the choirs for a wonderful performance and to the volunteers who helped prepare the church and to serve during the interval.”
