THOMAS the Tank Engine and his friends are steaming back to the East Anglian Railway Museum for the festive season.

The much-loved children's character is back at the venue for three weekends in December, as the popular Day Out With Thomas event makes its return.

Visitors can once again take a train ride with a life-size Thomas the Tank Engine, Percy and Daisy as well as meeting Sir Topham Hatt - the Fat Controller - who will recreate classic stories along with Sodor station cleaners Rusty and Dusty.

Rusty and Dusty will present their own show, Thomas, Percy and Toby will be providing train rides, there will be rides on the miniature railway, and the model railway room will be open.

There will also be the chance to meet Santa in the Victorian Goods Shed on a themed railway carriage and receive a gift for an additional fee.

The East Anglian Railway Museum will welcome Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends again on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, and the following two weekends.

The venue will be open for entry from 10am and 1pm.
