A VILLAGE mum has once again gone above and beyond to turn her home into a spooktacular house of horrors for Halloween.
Joanne Smith regularly transforms her house to celebrate seasonal holidays.
Whilst the Christmas period is her favourite, Halloween is a close second.
Joanne says she loves the decorations.
“Any excuse to decorate I do it - I have just always loved it,” she said.
Joanne has become well known in the village for her decorations.
Their popularity with residents means she keeps bringing them back.
The decorations went up this week with Halloween fast approaching.
Each year, the whole village gets excited as anticipation grows, with some people from as far away as far as Finchingfield and Wethersfield travelling to see the incredible decorations each year.
This year has been no different.
Joanne said: “All the kids in the village are getting really excited now. They’ve been asking me for weeks when I’m when I’m putting them up and with it being half term there has been a few around daily.
“They already want to walk around the driveway and take a look at what is out.”
This year’s decorations once again see classics returning, such as a 3m-tall pumpkin and all of the inflatable outdoor decorations, which are a popular part of the display.
There are also witches, spiders, skeletons, ghosts, and various pumpkins of different colours, shapes and sizes.
Joanne will also be bringing her goodie bags back this year for guests on Halloween night.
She said: “I’m doing the goodie bags again this year.
“I ran out of 200 last year by 6.30 at night so I have done an extra hundred but when these ones run out, I will be closing the gates.
“I think since I have started doing such a large Halloween display I have influenced most of the village as each year there seems to be more and more taking part in the displays so it makes it a really fun night out for everyone.”
