A NEW boss has been appointed at an Essex mental health charity.
Mid and North East Essex Mind has confirmed Ginny Idehen has been appointed as the new chief executive.
Ms Idehen joins from her role at Combat2Coffee where she has been director on an interim basis.
Prior to that, she held senior roles at Ormiston Families and Suffolk Mind.
The role became vacant after the departure of James McQuiggan who is leaving the organisation after 13 years to pursue a new role as CEO at Autism Anglia.
Chair of the board of trustees Ian Beaumont said: “We are delighted to have appointed Ginny as our new CEO in what will be an exciting time at the charity leading the delivery of our new organisational strategy.
“Ginny brings a wealth of experience, knowledge of mental health issues and enthusiasm to the role.
“The board of trustees and our senior management team look forward to working closely with Ginny when she joins us next month.
“I would like to thank James for his hard work and commitment during his tenure at Mid and North East Essex Mind and we wish him well in his new venture”.
Ms Idehen added: “I am looking forward to joining this amazing charity and helping to grow the mental health support and help available to communities in the mid and north east Essex area.”
