A WATERSKIER from Gosfield is appearing at a top competition alongside fellow GB athletes.
Ben Turp, 22, and seven others, are on their way to Italy to represent Great Britain at the European Waterski Championships, which begin on Friday.
Ben often competes professionally, as does brother Seb and sister Tilly.
The Turps all train at the family's Gosfield Lake site, near Halstead, and have competed all over the world in international championships and other competitions.
The European Waterski Championships are being held over three days at Jolly Ski, a purpose-built waterski lake in San Gervasio Bresciano, near Milan, in Italy. It will be contested by more than 70 skiers from 17 European countries.
The GB squad is made up of three women and four men.
Ben will be joined by sisters Eleanor and Jennifer Benjamin, Sanchia Outram, Tom Poole, Calum Heath, Arron Davies and Charlie Emmett.
Medals are awarded for the first three men and women in each individual event, for the first three overall (three-event) skiers and for the first three teams.
