A COMPETITION for competitive gardeners to show off their skills is open to all.
A part of Halstead in Bloom, residents can submit their own gardens to a local garden competition.
Halstead Town Council has launched the challenge for residents to get gardening or show off their skills in their front or back gardens of allotments.
Residents can enter their work into the competition for free.
A spokesman for Halstead Town Council said: “Do you have a garden you are proud of?
“Then enter your front garden, back garden, allotment or as a young person under the age of 15.
“There will be prizes for each category and all entries will receive a certificate.
“Entries are also invited to enter RHS It’s your neighbourhood, where individuals work together on a local project by keeping the local area tidy or working on a shared green space or building.
“Certificates will be awarded by RHS.”
To enter, you can collect an entry form from Halstead Town Council or apply by email to hibgardencompetition@yahoo.com.
The closing date for entries is Friday, June 23.
Judging will take place on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2.
