A NEW weekly boot sale has started at an Essex shopping village.
Petersfield Village, in Gosfield, is bringing a new weekly boot sale to the county, which began over the coronation weekend.
Petersfield co-owner John Potter said: “We decided to start a weekly boot fair as they are far and few between in the north of Braintree.
“The weather delayed our first sale until Sunday, May 7, the weekend of the coronation and although the rain fell on to Charles and Camilla on Saturday, it shone down on Petersfield Village on the Sunday.
“It was a tremendous success.
“The fair was filled with happy sellers and buyers.
“After the boot fair which was held from 8am, most visitors then spent time exploring the antiques village, including the tea rooms, farm shop, where Jeremy Clarkson's beer and cider was sampled, and the vinyl shop."
The boot sale is being held every Sunday during the summer.
Cars cost £7, vans are £10 and small trucks are £15. The boot sale is free for buyers.
