A MAN has been arrested after more than £100,000 worth of stolen power tools were found following a police investigation.
On Good Friday, April 7, officers say they were made aware of a digger being stolen from Castle Hedingham.
A spokesman said: "Despite officers arriving at the scene within minutes of the call, the digger had gone.
"Later that same day, officers working with the owner managed to track the digger to an address in Gosfield where other stolen plant and power tools worth more than £100,000 were found.
"A man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and has been bailed whilst the investigation continues."
The force also reminded businesses and residents how to help with tool thefts.
A spokesman said: "If you have valuable tools please clearly mark them and register them at immobilise.com.
"All of the tools we have recovered have no distinguishable markings making it harder for us to re-unite owners."
