POLICE officers continued their battle against speeding drivers in a rural Essex village.
Last week, officers were in Henny Road in Lamarsh following complaints from residents of speeding vehicles in the area.
Police said residents came out to see officers on duty, saying how pleased they were to see them there.
The force said three drivers were stopped and given verbal warnings on the day.
Other than a verbal warning, police can issue a fixed penalty notice, offer a speed awareness course or even give a court order.
Residents concerned about speeding in their neighbourhood can contact the police or get involved by starting a speed watch group.
