A MOTORBIKE rider has been handed five penalty points after driving without due care and attention.
Keith Burmby, 67, of Sudbury Road, Little Maplestead, had denied the offence which happened in Bulmer on May 8, 2022.
But he was found guilty when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on December 21.
The court heard Burmby had been riding a Kawasaki motorbike when the incident happened on Hedingham Road at about 1.09pm when he collided with a parked car and a stationary motorbike.
The motorbike rider suffered a dislocated shoulder.
Burmby was handed five penalty points and fined £120.
He must pay a victim services charge of £34 and £300 prosecution costs.
