A RAILWAY museum is kicking off 2023 with unlimited steam train rides as part of a special event.
Wakes Colne’s East Anglian Railway Museum is holding its New Year's steam event on January 1.
A firm favourite with families, the event is a great opportunity to visit the museum and have a ride in vintage wagons or carriages pulled by a restored steam engine.
The museum will be operating unlimited rides starting at either 10.30 or 11am until 3pm, with the museum open from at 10am through until 5pm.
A spokesman said: “Guests can also check out the working restoration shed, the Victorian goods shed, period waiting rooms and signal box, as well as the heritage centre and train-themed children’s playground.
“Additionally, our model railway club rooms will be open for you to view all the changes our volunteers have been making to the layouts.
“Our volunteers are also planning major track improvements during the first quarter of 2023 so our next planned steam train rides after this event will be Easter 2023, so don’t miss out.”
Tickets are £10 for adults, £7 for children aged four to 17, with under-fours going for free.
