A HALSTEAD care home says it is ‘penguin-ing’ to look a lot like Christmas as they prepare for some festive fun this month.
The Colne View care home in Halstead is inviting the community and some special guests to come along on December 14.
From 3pm to 5pm, the care home is inviting local people to get into the festive spirit by joining residents and team members at this year’s Doorstep Carols for a Christmas sing-along.
Also joining the celebrations is a group of penguins, who will be visiting the home to spread some extra Christmas cheer.
Following the success of the previous year, Colne View is inviting locals to join them at the home for a festive afternoon of singing, mulled wine and mince pies.
Monica Boldeata, Home Manager at Colne View, said: “Not only is this a wonderful chance for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit, but it’s a lovely opportunity for residents to reminisce over their happy Christmas memories, share stories, and meet new people.
“The residents are looking forward to singing with the Halstead community – and our feathered friends – and have been learning the words to their favourite songs ready for what we expect to be a lovely afternoon for all involved”
