A SHOPPING village has opened a new area for guests to enjoy.
Petersfield Village in Gosfield, opened its new Emporium area, boasting a variety of shops and an art gallery.
It came just before the village appeared on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Petersfield featured on the popular show last night, with expert Catherine Southon and recent I'm A Celebrity jungle campmate and Loose Woman Charlene White coming to the village.
Filming took place in June when the village welcomed the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip crew to look at some of their items.
Petersfield has gone from strength to strength since its re-opening under new management back in February.
There has been repainting, restructuring and refurbishment of several shops, with the village holding a string of successful events throughout the year, including car shows and a Tudor fair.
The new Emporium was opened by Halstead deputy mayor Peter Caulfield earlier this month, and contains antiques, cabinets, a gift shop and a new art gallery.
The first show was by talented artist Terry Wood and will run until December.
The following show in December and January is with Colchester-based contemporary artist Sam Maslanka.
A busy opening day was enjoyed by a strong crowd, with plenty of antiques and one of Mr Wood's original paintings being sold.
