A DRIVER has been fined more than £200 after being convicted of overtaking within pedestrian crossing limits.
Leon Smith, of New Street, Halstead, was riding a KTM 125 index bike on September 28 last year, when he overtook a vehicle which had stopped for a red light at a pedestrian crossing in Braintree.

The verdict was proved in his absence at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court earlier this month.
The 18-year-old was fined £220 and ordered to pay £34 in victim surcharge fees and costs of £110.
Smith was also given three points on his licence.
