A CROWD-PULLING race has been postponed following the death of the Queen.
The Finchingfield three-legged race has been pushed back after the news broke last week.
It was due to return last weekend.
A long-standing tradition in the Finchingfield village, the race was brought back in 1998 after a break and can attract up to 1,000 visitors.
Up to 30 teams take part in the event, which involves teams drinking from all three village pubs and racing through the pond twice while tied to another person.
However, following the sad news of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, the event was pushed back.
Event spokesman Lee Rider said: “Following the sad news of Her Majesty’s death we postponed the event as a mark of respect.
“The race will now take place with the rescheduled makers market on Sunday, September 25.”
