A CHILD was sent to hospital after being injured in a collision with a vehicle.
One ambulance was sent to Hedingham Road, Halstead, yesterday, August 31, following reports of a child injured in a road traffic collision.
An eyewitness said multiple police cars and an ambulance were at the scene near to Halstead's Dog Inn.
Police confirmed they were called by ambulance colleagues to Hedingham Road at 3.45pm to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and child.
The road was partially closed for a couple of hours.
A police spokesman added enquiries within their Roads Policing Unit are ongoing.
The East of England Ambulance Service said in an update today: "The patient was transported to Colchester Hospital for further assessment and care."
Police said the child suffered a suspected broken arm.
