MUSIC lovers were treated to a weekend of live entertainment as a hit memorial festival returned.
CozFest was staged in Sible Hedingham to celebrate the memory of Corran ‘Coz’ Powell.
Corran was just 21 when his car was involved in a head-on collision in Braintree Road, Gosfield, in 2014.
He was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died eight days later without regaining consciousness.
Friend and passenger James Simmons also died in the crash.
To honour Corran, who was a dedicated musician, his family launched CozFest more than seven years ago.
Acts included Point Clear, Its Not A Phase Mum, Meanstreak, The Condriacs, This Boys Fire and Coz’s siblings Jaz Powell, Mystie Martin and Jub Powell.
Jub performed with Coz's former band Quatrium with Jaz and Mystie having their own duet before Jaz appeared on bass for Exempt.
Quatrium hadn't played a gig since Coz and James died and their reunion proved to be a special moment.
Corran’s mum Gennie Powell was the main organiser of this year's CozFest.
She said: "The build of the big top was very slow as we had a number of volunteers off with injuries, operations and new babies.
"Those who were able to make it worked so hard all weekend in very hot conditions with little shade.
"They really are my superheroes because we wouldn’t have the tent up without them.
"We have made the decision that this will be the last year we use our own big top and will be putting it up for sale.
"It is a huge responsibility to build up and to knock down and we are all getting older.
"Seven and half years of CozFest almost means more to us as a family than it did in the beginning.
"The memories of us all touring with the family band ‘High Compression’ come flooding back as soon as the first band arrives.
"This year, one of the bands Coz was in re-grouped especially to play a tribute to him."
