DRIVERS may have to prepare for delays with a triple bill of roadworks coming to a pair of villages next month.
Bell Lane in Great Bardfield and Little Sampford Road and Little Bardfield Road in Little Bardfield is scheduled to close on September 5.
Bell Lane and Little Sampford Road will shut from their junction with Dunmow Road for a distance of approximately 1,630m in a north-westerly direction.
Little Bardfield Road would close from both of the junctions with Little Sampford Road.
The closures would last for five days while work is carried out by Openreach.
Essex Highways said: "The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken.
"An alternative route is available via Little Bardfield Road, Bardfield Road, Mill End, Orange Street, Town Street, Watling Street, Newbiggen Street, Walden Road, Great Sampford Road, Thaxted Road, Hill Road, Finchingfield Road, Hall Road, Hawkins Hill, Sampford Road, Brent Hall Road, The Green, Bridge End, Bridge Street, Vine Street, Brook Street, High Street, Dunmow Road and vice versa."
