DRIVERS can expect delays with a Halstead road scheduled to close next month.
Oak Road in the south of the town is set to shut on September 12 from its junction with Mount Hill to its junction with Conway Close.
The road will be shut for three days while resurfacing work is carried out by Essex County Council.
During the closure, a no waiting, no loading and no stopping restriction will be in place from Oak Road's junction with Mount Hill to its junction with Conway Close.
Traffic may be worsened by the closure with construction work taking place at the other end of Oak Road.
Essex Highways said: "The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
"An alternative route is available via Mount Hill, White Horse Avenue, Three Gates Close, Oak Road and vice versa.
"Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure."
