RESIDENTS could be set for delays with a village road set to shut this month.
Alderford Street in Sible Hedingham is set to close on August 30.
The road, which is a route which connects Sible Hedingham to Castle Hedingham, will close for three days.
The closure will start from its junction with Alderford Farm Road in a south-westerly direction.
The closure is needed to protect roadworkers while broadband work is carried out by Gigaclear.
To bypass the closure, drivers are advised to use Alderford Farm Road, Alderford Street, Sheepcot Road, Queen Street, Station Road, Swan Street and vice versa.
Essex Highways said: "The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre optic broadband installation works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
"Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure."
