A RAILWAY museum is hosting two family days for visitors to enjoy during the school holidays.
The family fun days are being held at the East Anglian Railway Museum.
The days will be held on Wednesdays August 10, and August 17.
The theme on August 10 will be Railways in the Second World War and the role of East Anglian railways supporting the war effort. The role of Chappel and Wakes Colne station during the war will also be highlighted.
There will be Second World War inspired craft activities, replica and original military uniforms and equipment to try on, special displays and other activities.
The Family Activity Morning will include a mixture of special temporary displays, ‘hands-on-history’ object handling, craft activities, museum trails and quizzes.
On August 17, the theme is railway artists and visitors will be able to view the museum’s collection of railway paintings, carriage prints, posters and postcards.
There will also be chances for guests to design their own railway-inspired artwork which they can take home with them or have displayed in the museum's heritage centre throughout the summer.
Normal entrance charges apply with no additional charge for the activity morning, and no pre-booking required.
