A PERSONAL trainer from north Essex is hoping to find love as he appeared on hit ITV show Love Island.
Josh LeGrove has made his entrance into the Love Island villa.
The 22-year-old was raised in Halstead before going on to study sports coaching at Colchester Institute, and is now a qualified personal trainer and sports coach.
Having boxed competitively as a junior, LeGrove featured regularly in the Halstead Gazette for his successes, at one point being described as “a star of the future” in the welterweight category.
And LeGrove hasn’t pulled any punches on the TV show so far, after he and Danica got together on Monday night’s episode.
Having always been single, Josh is now looking for “someone who can stick up for themselves and hold their own”.
When asked before entering the show whether he was competitive, he said: “I feel like I am competitive – I’d definitely step on someone's toes, but I wouldn’t necessarily take a big risk [on someone] if I wasn’t feeling them 100 per cent.
“I feel like when it’s a girl that I really like, I could fall [for them] quite quickly – and then if I don’t feel like I’m getting that energy back then I could lose interest quite quickly.”
He added: “If I were to settle down with someone it would be serious – I would give them 100 per cent.
“Personality wise, I’m looking for someone who can stick up for themselves and hold their own – up for a laugh, funny and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.”
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
