A DRAMA group is set to stage a psychological thriller for its next production.
Sudbury Dramatic Society will be bringing plenty of secrets and lies to the stage with its July production of Dead Guilty by Richard Harris.
The show is a tightly plotted and highly entertaining psychological thriller by a master dramatist, with a study of guilt and retribution.
A spokesman said: “When John dies at the wheel of his car next to Julia, who is not his wife, we follow Julia's recovery from the injuries she sustained, as she meets John's widow, Margaret, and forms an unexpected friendship. But what exactly does Margaret want, what is Julia's problem, and what has the friendly neighbour got to do with it?
“As the tension mounts, her friends continue to look after the housebound and depressed Julia, but Margaret’s actions take on a sinister aspect, as the widow becomes closer to Julia, manipulating her friends, her thoughts, and her treatment with potentially sinister results.”
Dead Guilty is on at the Quay Theatre from July 5 to July 9 at 7.45pm. Tickets are available from the Quay Theatre box office on 01787 374745, online at quaysudbury.com, or at sudburydramatic.com.
