A WATERSKIER from Gosfield is part of a team of seven taking on the first stop of the 2022 Waterski Pro Tour.
Ben Turp, 21, will be at the Swiss Pro Slalom in Florida this Sunday, as the event marks the official start of what is set to be a busy and competitive season.
The Waterski Pro Tour is made up of a series of professional competitions in the USA and Europe.
Points and cash prizes are awarded at each stop with tour champions crowned at the end of the season.
Among the GB contingent will be two of the world’s leading slalom specialists, Freddie Winter, 32, from London, and Will Asher, 39, from Lincolnshire, as well as the reigning Overall World Waterski Champion and world record holder, Joel Poland, 23, from London.

The Swiss Pro takes place at the Swiss Waterski Resort, Clermont, Florida, this Sunday, and will be webcast live by the Waterski Broadcasting Company.
Competition gets underway at 12.45pm BST, with the finals scheduled to start at 11pm.
Later this year, the Waterski Pro Tour is coming to the UK for a parallel head-to-head slalom competition.
The world’s best will battle it out, skiing side by side through parallel slalom courses behind two boats.
The Duel will take place in Cirencester on July 23 and 24.
