A PUB is hoping to launch a new and improved a coffee shop after opening one in its garage.
The Three Horseshoes, in Church Road, Fordham opened a coffee shop in its garage in January 2020, but was quickly hindered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, as restrictions lifted it began to sell barista style coffee, a selection of tea and hot chocolate.
Finding quick success within the community, the service soon followed with providing baking, croissants, cakes, biscuits, sourdough breads and savoury treats.

Fresh plans submitted to Colchester Council now seek to change the use of the garage to a fully-fledged coffee shop in order to improve it.
If approved, a preparation kitchen will be installed as well as freezer storage to backup the pub’s existing kitchen.
The plans also seek to relocate an existing timber structure and roof at the site, including redecoration and relocation to a new location in the pub garden.
It is hoped a new patio area and pergoda will also be permitted to be built.
A planning report reads: “The garden is tired and, as the business has progressed within the last two years, it has become a popular eating establishment both during winter and summer months.”
