A NEW website been created which works to promote the Braintree district.

Braintree Council has created the site which is promoting the district to new businesses, residents, and visitors.

It is called Locate Braintree District, and outlines the reasons why businesses should invest, people should live in, and visitors should visit the district.

The website also showcases the council’s key investments and projects, including the Horizon 120 business, innovation and logistics park, the Victoria square regeneration and the pedestrianisation of Braintree’s town centre.

Braintree Council economic growth boss Tom Cunningham said: “Our district offers competitive commercial opportunities for businesses, a significant number of cultural and heritage sites for visitors and quality of life for residents.

“We are in a great strategic location, especially for businesses, close to Stansted Airport, near Freeport East and London and the regional growth centres of Cambridge, Colchester, and Chelmsford.
