PLANS for a new medical centre to support multiple villages have received a setback after developers were forced to resubmit their application.

OneMedical Group had to withdraw their application to build the planned Hedingham Medical Centre at Osier Way in Sible Hedingham.

The building will be capable of providing care to 10,000 patients in the Hedingham area and surrounding villages.

Previously, developers have said they hoped to complete the project by April 2023.

OneMedical Group withdrew the application as it contained incorrect land ownership details, described by their agent as being “due to an erroneous ownership certificate associated with the application.”

OneMedical Group has since resubmitted the application with the correct information.

The resubmitted application has also made minor alterations to the planned car park arrangement and the refuse store.

Hedingham councillor Jo Beavis has urged residents to look at the changes and submit any further comments before the April 11 deadline.

She said: “These are important changes for residents to be aware of.

“The new planning application consultation period provides residents with extra time to make comments on the proposed new centre up to April 11.

“The previous application had to be withdrawn as the original application contained incorrect land ownership details.

“A new application form with the correct ownership details has now been submitted to Braintree Council.

“The new application form and all the planning application documents can be viewed on the Braintree Council website.

“Braintree Council planning department has transferred over all representations and consultation responses that were received on the original planning application so there is no need to resubmit comments unless you feel, after looking at the new application, the need to do so.

“If you were unable to comment on the original application an opportunity now exists.”
