POLICE officers are investigating after would-be crooks attempted to force their way into a petrol station kiosk.
The perpetrators attempted to burgle the Tesco petrol station in Radwinter Road, Saffron Walden, between 0.30am and 1am on Thursday.
Essex Police says a blue Freelander was seen at the location at the time of the incident and the occupants tried to force their way into the kiosk, causing damage to a wall and glass doors.
They left after becoming spooked when another car pulled onto the forecourt.
