A HAIR salon has named one of its young employees as a partner in the business after just ten months.

Willows Hair Salon, in Gosfield, has made Olivia Dennison a new partner in the business.

At just 22 years old, Olivia has joined owner Samantha Holden in running the salon.

Samantha has run the salon, based off Hedingham Road, for more than 15 years, with Olivia joining the team last April.

Olivia joined after her previous employers in Sudbury shut down in the pandemic.

The salon celebrated scooping a certificate of excellence from the Salon Spy review company in November.

Olivia also won gold for being one of the highest rated team members.

She is over the moon to become a partner.

Olivia said: “She’s given me the opportunity to buy part of the business and she has been very generous.

“I’ve only been here since April last year.

"At 22 years old I’m very grateful for the opportunity in having part of my own salon, I’ve worked very hard to get this far and I can’t wait to see where it takes us."

Olivia says family and friends have been "so supportive" in her career.

"This is something I’ve been doing since I had a Saturday job at 15," she said.

"Although Covid has had a negative impact on the world we are bringing a fresh and positive energy into 2022."

She added: "Creating beautiful hair and making people feel happy is the best part of the job and now I get to do it for my future.

"It’s going to be amazing to put all my love and passion into the salon I cannot thank Sam, my clients and my family for all their support."
