A DAYTIME choir is back for the New Year, as it aims to boost people’s moods.
The Halstead Big Sing Daytime Choir has returned for 2022 and is open for new members to join.
It is an opportunity to learn new songs and connect with other members of the community.
A spokesman for the choir said: “Singing is great for keeping the brain stimulated, relieve stress, anxiety, reduce isolation and improve your wellbeing, and leaves you feeling uplifted.
“We promise you will leave each week with a big smile on your face.”
There are no fees or auditions, but places should be booked to confirm attendance.
Lyrics are provided digitally to download and sheet music is not used.
The choir is for anyone and everyone to get involved in, with no experience needed.
There is a great variety of genres and appealing music for everyone, such as pop, soul, gospel, R’n’B and Motown.
The choir also performs original songs of their own.
Sessions for this term are at Queens Hall, on Chipping Hill, from 10am to noon on Monday and then on Tuesday, January 25, February 8, 15 and 22, March 8, 15, 22 and 29, and April 12.
The spokesman added: “We cannot wait to meet people and share the love of our Big Sing family.”
