A VETERAN artist is set to hold his latest exhibition at a village gallery.
Art lovers can look forward to the new exhibition at Chappel Galleries in the New Year.
The works of Charles Debenham will be displayed from March 12 to April 10.
The show is called The Good, the Bad and the Ordinary and is expected to show almost 40 of the painter’s works.
Charles was born in Colchester in 1933 and attended Colchester School of Art.
He began studying art when he was 14 years old, taking evening classes at first but then training as an illustrator full-time from 1948 to 1953.
In the early Sixties he was appointed to the list of designers for the Crown Agents.
His clients included Anglian Water, British Telecom and the National Rivers Authority followed by National Power and the National Grid.
At St Paul’s Cathedral, he designed the Royal Wedding (Charles & Diana) Exhibition.
The artist’s work includes scenic paintings of the area.
The galley is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
