RESIDENTS of a rural village experienced a power cut after a tree fell down.
Essex Police and UK Power Networks attended the scene near Gestingthorpe yesterday morning (February 7) after the tree knocked out a power line.
No power cuts were reported.
A spokesman said: “Road closure in place between Gestingthorpe and the Hedingham Road due to a tree falling across the road and hitting a power line.
“The road is now clear.
“Thank you to UK Power Networks and the local residents for helping get it sorted.”
