GOLF fanatics have raised thousands of pounds for a life-saving organisation.
Colne Valley Golf Club held a charity golf day that saw 58 pledging putters take part in a sponsored tournament in aid of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
The club’s fundraising efforts, which have also included a raffle, auction and buffet, have collectively raised more than £3,500 in donations for the independent charity.
The healthy sum was given to air ambulance representative Clair Mitchell earlier this week during a special cheque presentation at the Woolpack Inn, Coggeshall.
The Colne Valley Golf Club frequently organise fundraising golf days and since starting in 2011 have staggeringly generated more than £10,600 in donations.
