HALSTEAD Town FC Under 8s unveiled their swanky new kits last Saturday.
Costa Coffee, based in Halstead High Street, has agreed to sponsor the team, kitting them out with training gear, match day kits and jackets, all with the Costa logo on them.
As a thank-you, the team popped down to the store on Saturday morning to show their appreciation before digging into hot chocolates and cake.
Carl Pearse, youth team secretary, said: “The club go around local businesses every year asking for help and offering sponsorship.
“We went in one week and the manager was nice enough to donate and offer to arrange sponsorship.
“They also sponsor our man of the match award, so whoever wins each week gets a free hot or soft drink.
“We are hugely appreciative of all the support we receive from within the town.”
A Costa Coffee spokesman said: “Costa Coffee Halstead are proud to support Halstead Town Football Club Under 8s.
“Antony Tagliamonti, Costa franchisee, Arron Smith, operations manager, and the team in Halstead have been working closely with Gemma Cunliffe from Halstead Town Football Club Under 8s.
“We are always keen to get involved in local community projects and events and we look forward to the rest of the Under 8’s season and wish them the best of luck.”
