A brave girl who supported her mum through a fight with breast cancer has been a mascot for a football match at Wembley Stadium.
Vicky Whymark, 42, of Hillie Bunnies, in Earls Colne, was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2012 and her daughter, 11-year-old Brandii, helped in a lot of her care.
Miss Whymark, who is a mid day assistant at Honywood School in Coggeshall, which her daughter attends, and also works for delivery firm Hermes, said: “Brandii was absolutely amazing."
Miss Whymark, who has been in remission since February last year, spotted a competition on Breast Cancer Care’s Facebook page, which called for people’s best football stories for the chance to be a mascot at the England vs Germany ladies football match at Wembley last Sunday.
